Salons and Spas Near Port Canaveral

Couple getting massages

Spas are one of the best things on a cruise ship.  Usually equipped with panoramic views of the ocean for you to take in while relaxing in a terry cloth robe after a massage they’re one of the first things cruisers look forward to when they embark.  While land-based spas are hard pressed to match the view, a massage, as well a manicure and pedicure, are great things to do when you arrive in the Port Canaveral area ahead of your cruise.

A Spa Day

For spas, there are several choices near the Econo Lodge Port CanaveralTranquility Base (it’s the Space Coast) is a fully equipped day spa that offers massages, facials, manicures and pedicures, and for the daring, acupuncture.  It’s only a block away directly across the street from the hotel, and the hotel itself is equipped with a full-service fitness club to rival anything you’ll find on a cruise ship.  There is also the Simple Hair and Skin Salon around the corner, and the Comfort Massage next door to it.  Farther away at the Merritt Square Mall is the Happy Nails Day Spa.  You can have an entire spa day within walking distance before you set sail when you book the Econo Lodge Port Canaveral.

In Cocoa Beach, A1A is lined with our hotel partners and day spas.  Of special note to those who want a hotel with beach access are the Ocean Landings Cocoa Beach, and the Ocean Landings Suites.  Both of these hotels are regularly visited by a masseuse from Massage by Morakot.  Other day spas offering massages in Cocoa Beach are the Brevard Medi Spa and Stress Management Center.  For spa treatments that are more about beauty, cruisers are spoiled for choices: Hollywood Nails, Beautiful Nails and Spa, and the Harriman Salon & Spa are all nearby, and can be gotten to easily by local bus.  It’s Space Coast Area Transit route 9, and it is about $3 for a day pass, and pretty much everything in Cocoa Beach is easily accessible in 10 to 15 minutes.  Getting there is even easier if you’ve booked a Snooze Park Cruise package and have your car available.

Near the Orlando Airport, it isn’t hard to find a spa or nail salon.  For a massage, there is the Healthy Land Massage only a half mile away from most of our Orlando Airport partner hotels. If a manicure and pedicure are how you pamper yourself then Vista Nails is nearly next door to Healthy Land. While it is within walking distance for most, it is also a half mile walk along Semoran Boulevard which is one of the busiest roads in Orlando.  You can speak to the front desk of your chosen hotel to see if there is a complimentary shuttle, or you can take the Lynx bus for only $4.50 for an all-day pass.

There is another highly rated nail salon about the same distance away across Semoran Boulevard called Nails Hair Spa Massage, but due to its location getting to it means crossing Semoran on foot, or taking a full loop on the Lynx Bus.  However, if you’re staying at the Hyatt Place or La Quinta Inn & Suites Airport North then it is across the street past the Longhorn Steakhouse.

Lake Nona is a still developing area, but it’s already looking beautiful at the Residence Inn and Courtyard by Marriott.  Choices for pampering yourself—beyond staying in one of these hotels—is at one of the three-day spas.  The Greenleaf Spa, Nona Nails and Spa, and Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa are all outside of walking distance at approximately 3 miles away, but are easy to get to via the complimentary shuttle within 5 miles that comes as part of the package when you book your ashore accommodation and cruise transportation through Go Port.

Relax and Don’t Worry

There are a couple of ways to relax before and after your cruise.  A massage with hands and hot stones, or a foot bath and a pedicure are some good choices.  Booking a Go Port cruise hotel package is another.  With all your accommodation and transportation needs taken care of you don’t have to worry about missing the ship and can get your relaxing vacation started a day early.
